For the past 20 years or so, I’ve been interested in camping – starting with a caravan in the early 2000’s then moving to a coach built motorhome in 2006 through to 2014 and then to a static caravan/lodge in 2015 and in 2020 I ordered an Elddis CV20 campervan as whilst the lodge is brilliant I was missing the camping and going to different places so thought a campervan would be complementary and give the best of both. Earlier In 2020 we hired a coach built motorhome which was great but it helped me to decide to go for a campervan rather than a coach built for now.

In 2021, LeisureBit began as a dip my toes into the YouTube world and thus LeisureBit was born. It’s good to share and I wanted to give something back for all the learnings I’ve had and also wanted to ensure if things of value which can make a difference are created that I can share them here and make them available either as useful information or potentially some useful new products and services.
So why did we call it LeisureBit? We worked down to a shortlist of names and LeisureBit just kind of worked as it’s your little bit of leisure but also there’s the tech meaning of "bit" to bring the tech angle in too. I was looking for something fairly unique but not too complex to remember.

David’s the techie of the family and has always been interested in electronics and computing, since around the age of 5.
David’s also enjoys the countryside and walking/hiking, all be it doesn’t manage to get out as often as he would like to.
Rachel and David have been married since 2006.

Roxy’s our red fox Labrador dog and she’s been part of the family since 2019.

She’s not so keen on the noise of motorbikes, fan heaters and some things that beep though.
